Privacy policy
How your information is handled
Smart Home Dashboard is provided by Sakhi Apps. It connects to a Home Assistant hub that you choose and configure. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@zoopet.in.
Information kept on your device
The app saves hub names and addresses, device inventory, room assignments, notes, favourites, manual routines, display preferences, language choices and recent activity on your device. Activity is limited to the latest 100 entries. Hub readings and history are requested from your selected hub.
On Android, saved hub access tokens use Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage. Tokens are excluded from local workspace records and JSON backups. A browser preview holds its hub token in memory and requires it again when that session ends.
Your hub connection
The app sends your access token, requests for entity states and history, and selected control commands directly to the HTTPS Home Assistant address you enter. Sakhi Apps does not receive your hub credentials, device inventory or commands on a developer-operated server in this release.
Your hub operator controls the hub's own logs, retention and access. Removing information from this app does not delete it from Home Assistant. Use your hub's settings or contact its operator for those requests.
Backups and exported files
JSON backups contain workspace settings and inventory, excluding credentials and activity. You choose where an exported or shared file goes. Exported files may include room names, device names and notes; protect them and delete any copies separately. This app disables Android's automatic app backup.
Consent software and advertising
The Android app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to refresh consent information when the app starts, even while ad serving is disabled. The startup HTTPS check sends the AdMob application ID, app package and version, device model, Android version, language, screen size and saved consent status to Google. When a consent message is available or shown, UMP also sends message interactions, errors and timing information. Google uses these data to operate the consent feature, measure message performance, and meet security, fraud-prevention and regulatory requirements. The message shown depends on the user's regulatory region; Google can infer an approximate region from the connection IP address. This is not precise location.
Google lists Funding Choices and the applicable AdMob service as controller services. See Google's service information, CMP explanation and privacy policy. Where applicable, the app presents privacy choices and a Settings entry for changing them. This release does not initialize or load ads and does not use the Android advertising ID.
Google Mobile Ads and a Unity mediation adapter are included for optional advertising, but production ad serving and Unity demand are not enabled. No ad request, impression, click or advertising revenue event is produced by this release. We will update this policy before activating advertising. Our app does not add hub tokens, room names, inventory or commands to UMP or ad requests.
No separate Firebase or application-analytics service is configured. The app does not sell your hub credentials or inventory.
Accounts and purchases
This release does not offer developer-account registration, sign-in or purchases. Sakhi Apps operates identity and receipt-verification services for planned optional account and purchase features, but the disabled mobile account and purchase features do not contact them in this release. If these services are enabled later, we will identify their operator, data uses, retention and deletion process before collecting billing or account information. App-store account and transaction records are separately controlled by Google or Samsung.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on your device until you remove it using the app's Settings or uninstall the app, subject to platform behaviour. Removing a saved hub removes its stored access token. Clearing activity removes local activity entries. Erasing local data removes the workspace, saved credentials and explicit language preference. Exported files, hub records and third-party records must be managed separately.
You can follow the data-deletion instructions without creating an account. Contact contact@zoopet.in for help or an applicable privacy-rights request. Do not send hub tokens, passwords or sensitive home data. We can help you locate local controls but cannot remotely erase information held only on your device or by your hub operator.
Support and this website
If you contact support, your contact identifier and the information you choose to send are used to answer your request. GitHub support requests are public: use a general description and never include personal or sensitive home information. Share only what is needed. You can request deletion of support correspondence through the same contact, subject to any applicable record-keeping obligations.
These pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security; its privacy statement governs that processing. We have added no website analytics, advertising, tracking scripts or contact forms.
Security and changes
The app requires HTTPS for hub connections and uses encrypted Android storage for saved credentials. No device, host or security measure is risk-free. Keep your device and hub updated and revoke a hub token if you believe it has been exposed.
Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date. Material service changes will also be described with the applicable app update. Privacy and support contact: contact@zoopet.in.
