This policy explains what Emoji Maker (package com.emojimaker.stickercreator.diy,
"the app", "we") does with information when you use it. It applies to the Android app
distributed through Google Play, the Samsung Galaxy Store and the vivo App Store.
1. Information we do not collect
We want to be specific rather than reassuring, so here is what the app genuinely does not do:
- There is no account system. You cannot sign up, and we never ask for a name, email address, phone number or password.
- We operate no backend server. There is nowhere for us to send your data, and the app makes no network request to any server owned by us.
- We include no analytics or crash-reporting SDK — no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, and none of the third-party analytics or attribution products commonly bundled into free apps.
- The app does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, calendar, call logs or SMS.
- The app does not request the camera permission. When you choose to take a photo, it hands the job to your device's own camera app and receives only the resulting image.
- The app does not request broad photo-library permissions. Pictures are chosen through the Android system picker, which grants access to only the image you picked.
2. Information handled on your device
All of the following stays on your phone. None of it is transmitted to us.
| What | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Photos you pick or capture | To turn a photo into an emoji, mask it into a shape, or remove its background | Held in the app's own temporary storage while you work. Never uploaded. |
| Emojis and stickers you create | So you can find them again in "My Folder" and share them | Saved to your device's photo gallery, in an album named "Emoji Maker". |
| Background removal | To cut a subject out of a photo automatically | Runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit's bundled on-device model. The image is never sent anywhere for processing. |
| App preferences | Whether you have seen onboarding, your ad-frequency state, and your consent choice | Android's standard local preference storage. |
| Sticker packs you export | To hand a pack to WhatsApp or Telegram when you ask for it | Written into the app's private folder, then shared with the app you chose. We do not see the transfer. |
3. Advertising
The app is free and is funded by advertising. This is the only part of the app where data leaves your device, so it is worth reading.
3.1 Google AdMob
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and network information, and how you interact with an ad. We do not receive this data and cannot link it back to you. Google's own handling is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
3.2 Partner ad networks
AdMob may pass an ad request to partner networks so more advertisers compete for the slot. The following networks are integrated in this app, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Unity Ads — privacy policy
- Meta Audience Network — privacy policy
- Pangle — privacy policy
- AppLovin — privacy policy
- Mintegral — privacy policy
- Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) — privacy policy
- InMobi — privacy policy
3.3 Your consent, and how to change it
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before any ad is loaded, and no personalised advertising happens unless you agree to it. You can change that choice at any time from the privacy option in the app, where your region requires one to be offered.
Independently of the app, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device.
3.4 Install attribution
The app uses Google Play's Install Referrer API once, on first launch, to record which listing or campaign led to the install. This value is stored locally and is used only to understand which store keywords work. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
4. Children
Emoji Maker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will act on it.
5. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone, because we do not receive it. The only third parties involved are the advertising networks listed in section 3, acting under their own policies.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase. You can, at any time:
- Delete any emoji from within the app, or from your device's gallery.
- Clear the app's stored preferences via Settings → Apps → Emoji Maker → Storage → Clear data.
- Uninstall the app, which removes everything it stored on the device.
For advertising data held by Google or its partners, use the links in section 3, or the device-level advertising controls described in section 3.3.
7. Security
Your creations stay in your device's own storage and are protected by Android's app sandbox. Sticker packs shared with another app are handed over through Android's standard sharing mechanism and are readable only by the app you chose.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change with it, and the revised version will be published at this address. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
